Coming soon to Android and iPhone

Earn your scroll.

Social apps cost minutes. You earn minutes with verified good habits, a person you trust holds the key, and your circle keeps you honest.

Kinwyn is not in the stores yet. Android comes first.

A wallet of minutes, not a timer you ignore

Screen-time limits are easy to tap away. Kinwyn turns scrolling into something you pay for with effort.

  1. Pick the apps that eat your time

Opening one spends minutes from your wallet, one minute at a time.

  2. Earn minutes with real habits

Every goal is checked by the phone itself. Nothing runs on the honor system.

  3. Zero balance means locked

When the wallet is empty, the app stays shut until you earn more. Earned minutes expire after 48 hours, so you cannot hoard them.

Eight ways to earn

These are the starting rates. You can change a rate. Each goal has a fixed daily cap.

  • 1,000 steps5 min
  • One push-up or squat, counted by the camera1 min
  • 25 minutes with the phone down10 min
  • 10 minutes in an app you chose as good for you10 min
  • A night with the phone untouched20 min
  • A phone-free first hour after your alarm15 min
  • A 100-word journal entry10 min
  • Staying away from every pin you dropped20 min

What makes Kinwyn different

Six ideas you will not find in a screen-time limit.

  • Stay-away pins

Drop up to five pins on places you want to avoid. Stay away from all of them for the day and you earn minutes for it.

Your places never leave your phone.

  • Borrow with interest

Out of minutes? Borrow up to 10 a day. You pay back 15 from your goals by the end of the next day, and your apps stay locked until you do.

Miss the deadline and your streak breaks.

  • Night pricing

Scrolling costs more when it hurts most. Inside your night window a minute of scrolling costs up to three minutes from your wallet.

The window starts as midnight to 6 am.

  • A key holder and a 7-day cool-down

Making your rules harder is instant. Making them easier waits seven days, unless the person you trust says yes. They can approve from a link, with no app.

You can always change key holder. That takes 7 days too.

  • One plan for the whole family

A circle holds up to five people, family or friends. One paid plan covers everyone in it, parents included. Parents hold the key for their kids.

A shared goal, a weekly ranking and nudges.

  • Promise rewards

Someone in your circle can promise you a real reward, in their own words, for reaching a goal. Kinwyn tracks the goal and marks the promise kept.

The reward is between the two of you.

Private where it counts

Your circle and your key holder see minutes and streaks. Nothing else.

Read the privacy draft

  • Journal text stays on your phone.
  • Pin locations stay on your phone. Only “avoided today: yes or no” counts.
  • Camera frames and audio are never stored or uploaded.
  • Nobody sees which apps you block or open.
  • Kids’ journals are private, even from parents.
  • No analytics events are recorded for child profiles.

Never blocked

Some things are not yours to lock, and Kinwyn will not offer them.

  • Phone calls
  • Messages

  • Maps and navigation
  • Banking and payment apps you mark as essential
  • Settings, and Kinwyn itself
